Allows Academy and trivia emails to be sent from the client's own domain, instead of Whalemate's generic domain.
Personalizes communication with collaborators, improving the identification of emails as legitimate and belonging to the organization.
Centralizes sending through Microsoft Graph, without requiring manual configuration for each campaign.
Before integrating into Whalemate, it is necessary to configure the mailbox permissions in Microsoft:
Search for and click on the email that will send the notifications. A panel will open on the right margin
Click on the Mail tab. In the Mailbox permissions section, configure:
Read and manage permissions
Send as permissions
In both options, click on Add permissions and complete with the user with whom the integration will be carried out.
This configuration may take up to 24 hours to apply. It is recommended to carry out this step in advance before continuing with the integration in Whalemate.
Go to the platform and navigate to Settings → Integrations. At the bottom of the screen you will find the Email sender configuration section
Open the Provider list and select Microsoft
When selecting Microsoft, the message "Action required: allow Whalemate to access your Microsoft account" will appear.
Click on Grant Access so that the Whalemate application registers in Azure. A pop-up will appear indicating the necessary permissions and you will be redirected to the Microsoft login page
Complete with the connection details of the account that will be used to integrate
Once the data is validated, you will return to the configuration screen. Complete the emails that will be used for sending notifications:
Academy Sender (sender for Academy emails)
Trivia Sender (sender for trivia emails)
Press Save to save the configuration
Go to the Academy login screen and request the sending of the connection token
Check the sender the email arrives from, to confirm that it corresponds to the configured domain
How long does it take for the permissions configuration in Microsoft to apply?
Up to 24 hours. It is recommended to do this in advance before continuing with the integration in the Whalemate platform.
Can I use a different sender for Academy and for trivias?
Yes. The configuration allows you to define an Academy Sender and a Trivia Sender independently.
How do I confirm that the integration was configured correctly?
By requesting the sending of the connection token from the Academy login screen, and verifying that the email arrives from the configured sender.
What happens if I don't complete the permissions configuration in Microsoft first?
The integration in Whalemate will not be able to be completed correctly, since it depends on the "read and manage" and "send as" permissions previously granted in Microsoft.
