Allows emails to be sent from the client's own Google account, instead of Whalemate's generic domain.
Personalizes communication with collaborators, improving the identification of emails as legitimate and belonging to the organization.
Does not require prior permission configuration outside the platform, only direct authorization through Google.
Prerequisite: having a valid Google email account.
Log in to the Whalemate platform: https://app.whalemate.com/
Go to Settings
Go to the Integrations tab
Scroll down to the Email Sender Configuration section
In the Provider dropdown, select Google
When selecting Google, the message "Action required: allow Whalemate to access your Google account" will appear.
Click on Grant Access. A confirmation message will be shown indicating that you will be redirected to the Google login page, where Whalemate will be allowed to import Google users and groups. Press Grant Access again to continue
Select or log in with the Google account you want to integrate
Click on Continue and then on Allow, authorizing Whalemate to send emails on behalf of that account
You will be immediately redirected to the Whalemate platform, where you can see that the integration was successful: the sender fields (Academy, Trivia, and Awareness) will be automatically filled in with the integrated Google account.
Do I need to configure anything in Google Admin Console before integrating?
No. Unlike the integration with Microsoft, this integration with Google does not require prior configuration outside the Whalemate platform: it is only necessary to authorize access from the Google account.
What permission am I giving Whalemate by granting access?
It allows Whalemate to send emails on behalf of the selected Google account.
Can I use different senders for Academy, Trivia, and Awareness?
Yes, the platform allows you to configure a sender for each module, although upon completing the integration with Google the three fields are initially filled in with the same authorized account.
How do I confirm that the integration was completed correctly?
Upon completing the authorization process, the platform automatically redirects you and shows the sender fields already filled in with the integrated Google account.
