It gives you a record of the training you completed, with the start and completion dates.
You can present it to your HR department or keep it as proof of your training.
The certificate comes out with your company's branding and signed by the person your company defined.
Certificates are stored: you can download them again whenever you want, even months later.
When you finish a course
As soon as you complete the last section of a course, the platform takes you to a congratulations screen with the Download Certificate button. When you click it, the PDF is generated and downloads on its own.
Generation takes a few seconds. In the meantime the button stays disabled: that is normal, wait for it to finish without clicking again.
From your profile, at any time
If you closed that screen or you want an earlier certificate, go to Profile → Certificates.
You will see one card for each course and each path you have completed, with a preview of the certificate, the name of the training, the date you finished it, and a download button. The most recent ones appear first.
Only completed trainings appear. If you started a course and did not finish it, there is no certificate yet. When you have not completed any, the section shows the message "Complete your assignments to see your certificates here".
From the path completion email. When you finish a learning path you receive a congratulations email with a Certificate button. When you click it, the academy logs you in and takes you straight to Profile → Certificates, with that path's certificate ready to download.
What the certificate includes
The certificate carries your first and last name exactly as they appear on the platform, the name of the course or path you completed, and the start and completion dates. At the bottom you see the signature, with the name and job title of the person your company defined, and everything comes out with your brand's logo and color. It also includes a QR code that leads to the course content.
Yes. Go to Profile → Certificates and you will find every one you have completed, with no time limit.
Yes. They appear in the same Profile → Certificates section, alongside the course ones, once you have completed every course in the path.
The signature is defined by your company in its settings. If the certificate comes out without that detail, let the person who administers Whalemate in your organization know so they can fill it in.
The certificate is built on the spot and takes a few seconds. If nothing happened, check that your browser did not block the download and try again from Profile → Certificates.
No. The QR leads to the course content so you can review it. It is not a verification code.
