You know how a course is set up before you start it: how many lessons it has and how long it will take.
You understand why your progress saves on its own and you can pick up whenever you want.
You know the quiz rules ahead of time: how much time you have, what grade you need and how many attempts you have left.
Entering the course
From Mis Aprendizajes, click the course card. If you haven't started it yet or you already completed it, an intro screen opens first with the title, the description and the list of sections. If the course has them, you also see the estimated duration, the language and the last update, and the average rating if your company shows it. From there you start with Comenzar, or review with Volver a ver. If you already started it, you go straight to the lesson where you left off. If the course is expired, you see the intro without a start button and a notice with the date it expired.
In the Este curso incluye card you see the total duration, how many sections it has and that you get a certificate when you complete it. Below, Contenido del curso lists the sections with their type (Video, Lectura, Cuestionario or Ejercicio); it shows the first 6 and you can open the rest with Ver todo.
Moving through the sections
When you enter a section, that lesson's material takes the center of the screen and, on the right, you have the list of contents with the type and duration of each one (for example, "Video · 4 min"). You can show or hide it with Ver contenido / Ocultar contenido if you need more space.
In the previous version of the player, each section has its own Progreso de la Lección: it stays at 0% until you complete it and goes to 100% when you finish.
You can move between lessons with the Anterior and Siguiente buttons, in either direction. Going back to an earlier lesson is free; to move on to the next one you still have to complete the current one first.
A section can have text to read, a video, a hands-on activity or a quiz.
If it's a video, you have to watch all of it. If you try to mark the section as done before the video reaches the end, it doesn't complete.
Your progress saves on its own. You can close the course halfway and pick it up later: the sections you already completed stay marked.
If you prefer the previous screen
While you take a course, a Volver a la versión anterior button lets you go back to how it looked before, without losing any of your progress. From that same place you can try the new version again whenever you want.
The quiz
Before you start, the screen tells you how many minutes you have and what the minimum passing grade is. For each question you pick an option and tap Confirmar respuesta; you'll see whether it was Es la correcta or No es esa before moving on. The clock keeps running even if you leave the screen. If you pass, you see "¡Bien hecho, aprobaste!". If not, "Todavía no lo lograste": you can review the material with Revisar or continue and come back later. If your company limited the attempts and you used them all, you see "No te quedan intentos". Ask your training team to enable another one for you.
When you finish
When you complete the last section you see "¡Completaste el curso!" and the Ver certificado button. Your certificate is also in Perfil → Certificados.
Can I do the sections in any order I want?
No. The course is sequential: each section unlocks when you've completed the previous one. You can go back and review any earlier section whenever you want, with the Anterior button.
I left the course halfway, did I lose what I had done?
No. Your progress saves automatically and completed sections stay marked. You pick up where you were.
I ran out of attempts on the quiz.
It depends on how your company set it up. If the limit is per day, the attempts reset on their own and the quiz's Intentos card tells you how long until you have them available again. If your company set a single attempt, they don't reset: ask whoever manages Whalemate in your organization to enroll you in the course again, and with that new enrollment you get one more attempt.
I started the quiz and closed the tab by accident.
The clock keeps running while the quiz is open, so you may have less time when you come back. It's best to start it when you have the full minutes available.
I finished all the sections, now what?
When you complete the last one, the platform takes you to your certificate. It's also saved in Perfil → Certificados.
