Defines who receives the phishing alerts reported by employees.
Lets you choose whether, in addition to storing and reporting, an educational message is sent when the reported email was a simulation.
Lets you customize the texts the employee sees when using the report button (title, subtitle, question, and confirmation messages).
Lets you revert any of those texts to the platform's default, if you customized it and want to go back.
Lets you automatically move the reported email to the employee's Junk mail folder, with a customizable message.
Adapts the tone and content of the report button to each organization's internal communication.
Navigation: Configuración → General → Botón de Reporte
Go to Configuración → General and select the Botón de Reporte tab.
In Correo de reporte de incidentes, add in the Correos field the addresses that should receive your organization's phishing reports. You can add more than one.
In Comportamiento al reportar, choose what happens when an employee reports an email:
Guardar y reportar: only logs and notifies the report.
Guardar, reportar y enviar mensaje educativo: additionally, shows an educational message when the reported email is a Whalemate simulation.
The texts come in your company's language. The first time you enter, the report button's messages appear preloaded in the language configured for your company, Spanish, English, or Portuguese. If your company doesn't have a language configured, they appear in Spanish. Once you edit and save a message, that text always takes over and isn't replaced, unless you restore it (see below).
In Panel de reporte, customize the title, subtitle, and question the employee sees when opening the report button.
In Confirmación — correo real, edit the title and message the employee sees when reporting an email that is not a simulation. This is the message shown by default for any reported email.
In Confirmación — simulación, edit the title and educational message the employee sees when reporting a phishing simulation. This message only shows if in step 3 you chose "Guardar, reportar y enviar mensaje educativo"; in any other case, the real email confirmation is used.
In Correo no deseado al reportar, enable Mover el correo a Correo no deseado al reportar if you want the email to move automatically to the employee's Junk mail folder, and customize the Mensaje al mover el correo text.
This section used to be called "Eliminar al reportar," and the toggle "Eliminar correo después de reportar." We renamed them because they described something that doesn't happen: the email is not deleted, it's moved to the Junk mail folder. They're in the same place and do exactly the same as before.
Only works on Microsoft accounts (Outlook / Microsoft 365). If your company uses Google (Gmail / Google Workspace), the reported email is not moved, it's still logged and notified the same way, but it stays in the employee's inbox. On screen you'll see this same clarification in the info icon next to the section's title.
Check the message your people see. If you never edited this field, the default text still says the email was deleted ("✅ Email deleted! The message was removed from your inbox…"), in all three languages. It's the old text and doesn't match what actually happens. You can change it right here, for example: "✅ Email moved to Junk mail. We removed it from your inbox to avoid any risk. If you think this was a mistake, contact your administrator."
If you already customized any of these texts and want to go back to the platform's default, below the field there's a link Restaurar el texto por defecto. Using it returns the field to the platform's text in your company's language, and it's marked with the notice "This message will follow your company's language. If you edit it, it becomes a custom text again," meaning that from then on, if you later change your company's language, that message follows along on its own. Restoring doesn't save by itself: like any other change on this screen, you have to click Guardar for it to take effect.
A restored and saved message can't be left empty. If you delete all the content of a field and save, the platform warns you "This message cannot be empty." and doesn't save anything. To go back to the platform's text use Restaurar el texto por defecto, don't empty the field by hand.
Click Guardar to apply the changes.
Changes apply immediately to all employees in the organization.
The first option only logs the report. The second additionally shows the employee an educational message when what was reported was a phishing simulation.
If you configured "Guardar, reportar y enviar mensaje educativo," they'll see the "Confirmación - simulación" message. If not, they'll see the same message shown for any real email.
In the same place, now with a different name: the section is called Correo no deseado al reportar and the toggle, Mover el correo a Correo no deseado al reportar. The behavior hasn't changed; the old name described what it does poorly.
No. It's moved to the Junk mail (SPAM) folder of the reporter's mailbox, so it's still there and can be recovered from there. And it only happens on Microsoft accounts.
Because that's the default text in Mensaje al mover el correo and it still uses the old word. If you never edited it, that's what they're reading. Change it right on this same screen, in the Correo no deseado al reportar section.
Yes. The panel's title, subtitle and question, the titles and messages of both confirmations, and the message shown when moving the email to Junk mail, are all editable.
Yes. Below each customized message you have the link Restaurar el texto por defecto. It restores one at a time, so you can revert only the one you care about and leave the rest as is.
Yes, that's exactly the effect of restoring: the message keeps following your company's language permanently, not just this once. If later you edit it by hand again, it stops following the language and becomes your own text again.
The addresses you add in Correo de reporte de incidentes. If you also enable Almacenar los correos reportados en la plataforma, reported emails are also stored in Whalemate's incidents inbox and their links are analyzed.
